Anyone know what provides libgmp.so.3? I wanted to install the freeswan RPM, but need libgmp. Also, how can I determine where to get these dependancies in the future? T'anks, Geordon
The file ARCHIVES.gz contains a list of all files on the suse CDs, the packages they're in, and what CD they're on. zgrep <filename> ARCHIVES.gz you'll find it on the CD root, or on the ftp site On Friday 20 April 2001 00:06, Geordon VanTassle wrote:

gmp is a math library. If you don't happen to have it installed rpmfind.net is your friend. [seifried@dildo seifried]$ rpm -qil gmp Name : gmp Relocations: (not relocateable) Version : 3.0.1 Vendor: WireX Inc. Release : 5_imnx Build Date: Mon 29 Jan 2001 04:32:21 AM MST Install date: Mon 19 Feb 2001 01:15:31 PM MST Build Host: duet.int.wirex.com Group : System Environment/Libraries Source RPM: gmp-3.0.1-5_imnx.src.rpm Size : 528788 License: LGPL URL : http://www.gnu.org/ Summary : A GNU arbitrary precision library. Description : * This package has been StackGuard and FormatGuard protected. * See http://www.immunix.org for details. The gmp package contains GNU MP, a library for arbitrary precision arithmetic, signed integers operations, rational numbers and floating point numbers. GNU MP is designed for speed, for both small and very large operands. GNU MP is fast because it uses fullwords as the basic arithmetic type, it uses fast algorithms, it carefully optimizes assembly code for many CPUs' most common inner loops, and it generally emphasizes speed over simplicity/elegance in its operations. Install the gmp package if you need a fast arbitrary precision library. /usr/lib/libgmp.so.3 /usr/lib/libgmp.so.3.0.1 /usr/share/doc/gmp-3.0.1 /usr/share/doc/gmp-3.0.1/COPYING /usr/share/doc/gmp-3.0.1/NEWS /usr/share/doc/gmp-3.0.1/README Kurt Seifried, seifried@securityportal.com Securityportal - your focal point for security on the 'net
DOH. I should have known that.
As our wonderous hosts would say, "Vielen Dank!" (aka "domo arigato" or
thanks a bunch)

Install using yast. It automatically deals with dependencies for you. On Thu, 19 Apr 2001, Geordon VanTassle wrote:
