DHCP-Relay over ipsec
Hi All!! I have 5 networks connected to one central network over ipsec. Each network has a different ip family 192.168.x.0/24. I want to configure a DHCP server in the central network to serve all the networks. I only have to install a DHCP-Realy in each gateway of each network and configure the DHCPSERVER="192.168.0.10" for example, or not? I found the DHCP-Relay software in: http://www.strongsec.com/freeswan/dhcprelay/ Is this the best to use? Thanks!!

If you have 5 networks conntected by freeswan, you usually have 5 IP networks also: 192.168.1.0/24, 192.168.2.0/24 and so on. Well, you can just put a DHCP server in every LAN as in classic setups.

Please note, that this example setup works for roadwarrios which already have a IP to connect to the VPN-GW (from dialup), so you need a local DHCP server anyway I think. Well, and if you assign already a local IP address, then you don't need to assign another one from the central network I think.

Well, you didn't explained your motivation, but it seems that you don't want this :-) oki, Steffen -- Dieses Schreiben wurde maschinell erstellt, es trägt daher weder Unterschrift noch Siegel.
