In file /etc/postfix/main.cf (I use SuSE 8.2 Professional) you can limit access to trusted network: ----------------------------------- mynetworks = xxx.xxx.xxx.0/24 ----------------------------------- *Remember:* rc.postfix restart SuSEconfig -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dominik Składanowski e-mail: dominik.skladanowski@ch.pw.edu.pl tel.: (22) 6605474 http://www.ch.pw.edu.pl/ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

add to /etc/sysconfig/postfix POSTFIX_ADD_MYNETWORKS="yournetwork 127.0.0.0/8 " run SuSEconfig --module postfix this should do it -- Togan Muftuoglu | Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer | Please reply to the list; http://susefaq.sf.net | Please don't put me in TO/CC. Nisi defectum, haud refiecendum

Postfix is /not/ open relay by default, so you must have been doing something wrong to make it abusable. Maybe you added a domain in access.db with an OK, or you left out 'reject_unauth_destination' from 'smtpd_recipient_restrictions', I can't tell without more info. Post the output from 'postconf -n', it's likely that gives more clues. Theo -- Theo v.
