SuSEfirewall2 -> Port 80 open
Hi folks, I have the problem, that SuSEfirewall2 seems not to protect Port 80. I use SuSE 7.2 to connect to the Internet via ADSL. Doing a portscan to the server from an extern host via the Internet shows that port 80 is open. But in my firewall2.rc.config I made no ports available from the Internet (except high-ports for DNS) and no webserver or other process is running on port 80. Also any connections to port 80 fail. Maybe this is a problem of T-DSL from the German-Telekom but I don't know. Well, it seems to be strange... Does anybody know that problem? Regards, Stefan Appel

In your firewall2.rc.config do you have anything is your: FW_SERVICES_EXT_TCP="" line? If you have: FW_SERVICES_EXT_TCP="www" then this would do it. Without this entry I did not have any ports open to the external world. Jim
