Hi Luis,

I'm not sure if there are .rpm's available but the .tar.gz-archives can be found at http://www.amavis.org. Current version is AMaViS 0.2.1 (the old branch, shell-script) respectivly AMaVis-perl 11 (the new branch, rewritten in perl). -- MfG, Chr. Where can I find amavis rpm for SuSE 7.1 ?? There are no SuSE rpm's for SuSE 7.1. sendmail shipped within SuSE 7.1 is not compiled with libmilter support. You may _try_ the sendmail rpm from 7.2 and amavis-sendmail from 7.2, but no guarantee this will work :-)
Of couse, you can grab the sources from www.amavis.org and compile amavis on your own, i.e. using the sendmail relay hack (which I do not recommend, btw, as it's a hack and I've added this to be able to scan outgoing/relayed mail, too, as amavis could only scan incomming mails in the past. I would recommend the libmilter feature).
and wich version is it ? The amavis-sendmail package consists of amavis-perl-11 with some really minor changes by me.
(S)RPM's for amavis-perl/amavisd for sendmail/postfix (SuSE Linux 7.2.) can be found at ftp.suse.com/pub/people/link/amavis/SuSE. Use them with some care, as those RPMs are not that well tested compared to those RPMs for a (new) SuSE Linux release. best regards, Rainer Link -- Rainer Link | SuSE - The Linux Experts link@suse.de | Developer of A Mail Virus Scanner (amavis.org) www.suse.de | Founder OpenAntiVirus Project (www.openantivirus.org)

Yes. But please make sure, your postfix supports the content filtering API (not sure if the version we shipped on SuSE Linux 7.0 already provides this API). AMaViS integrates within postfix, not within any POP3 server or TWIG. best regards, Rainer Link -- Rainer Link | SuSE - The Linux Experts link@suse.de | Developer of A Mail Virus Scanner (amavis.org) www.suse.de | Founder OpenAntiVirus Project (www.openantivirus.org)
