Hi, I have SuSE 8.2 Pro on my workstation. Last time i tried to update my system using ftp.suse.com And here is a problem - YOU didn't download patches because of wrong signatures :( I tried to use one of SuSE mirrors - the same result. -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dominik Składanowski e-mail: dominik.skladanowski@ch.pw.edu.pl ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hmmm. Everything fine so far. Where did you download the files from? The ones on ftp.suse.com are alright: ftp:/Ftp/pub/suse/i386/update/8.2/patches # for i in *; do gpg --verify $i > /dev/null 2>&1 || echo $i;done directory.3 ftp:/Ftp/pub/suse/i386/update/8.2/patches # Thanks, Roman.

FYI: I have unsubscribed the misconfigured address majordomo@psc.edu from suse-security@suse.com. Roman.

Reinstall the SuSE install signature from the original CDs?

Just a guess: check if your systemclock is ok. I noticed that you cannot import pgp keys if your system is behind the normal time, eg. the key cannot exist cause it would be created in the future. HTH, Sven

Workstation time is synchronized via NTP. Time in my network is OK :) -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dominik Składanowski e-mail: dominik.skladanowski@ch.pw.edu.pl ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Now it is clear - I have installed fou4s to check alternative to YOU, after rpm installation I get message "you need rpm --rebuilddb". After that I used YOU again and it works works fine. So please excuse me confusion. Signatures are really OK. -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dominik Składanowski e-mail: dominik.skladanowski@ch.pw.edu.pl ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
