-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I got problems downloading patches for SuSE 8.2. Is it outdated already? I saw there was a mail that it will be outdated. Depending on the answer I will have to switch to a newer distro or not. Reguards Philippe - -- Diese Nachricht ist digital signiert und enthält weder Siegel noch Unterschrift! Not exactly, it was discontinued since last July, just after the ftp version of 9.3 came out; the official announcement was posted "Wed, 29 Jun 2005 17:19:05 +0200 (MEST)". - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFDHFCStTMYHG2NR9URAou0AJ4mM+Od16QUhx7Z4m8cNzesLoTxbwCglyPP ukvoYRAGU0xY6bSQKOp1pC0= =k7D7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

SUSE 8.2 was quite a good distro and I really liked it! I will keep it for sure for some desktops inside my firewall. Until they run without (~major) issues. Just in case you are interested in the archived updates, please have a look into ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/discontinued/i386/update/8.2/ (But you should know about, that it's an archive of older stuff and _no_ new updates are prepared/added there! That's simply because the above reason: SUSE 8.2 is not supported anymore...) Regards, Pelibali
