Well, first, I don't think that this makes any sense, BTW. Yes, of course this is possible, it's linux... If you use standard syslog, you'll need some additional mini tool. I think if I would need such a function, I would syslog write the scanlogd messages (fac.pri) to a FIFO, and let a perl script read out this FIFO.
