I'd really appreciate if openSUSE would stick to the releases the Python community provides. AFAIK Python is ABI compatible within media releases. So if Python 2.5.3 is released you can simply use that without having to recompile extension modules compiled with Python 2.5.x (with x being 0, 1 or 2).
