Hi! Is there a possibility to stop spam from the list? As a nice feature I always get spam after writing a single mail to the list :-( By the way plz kick karatekid44@hotmail.com from the list (if this is the right one) -> see attachement! A nice feature will be to see, if xy is a real user by resending a mail after signing up. Only after a "please type the letters you see" like probe xy gets suscribed to the list. This can stop bots sign to the list. Philippe --- There is a delete button in every mail-client :-)

Well, it's been almost an hour and a half since I posted to this group and I haven't received any spam yet (not even from the "normal" spam I get every day) so either: 1. The spam you are getting has nothing to do with this list; 2. The spammer is very slow and should contact promotionfact... about how to spam faster and more effeciently :); or 3. The spammer is only harvesting email from certain domains (unlikely, and very unlikely if the spam you received is in a different language than the one typically associated to your TLD). I wouldn't start complaining about spam on a mailing list without asking others if they are getting the same first. J. Theriault administrator@maginetworks.com - /* Where's my sig? Heyas, apparently, someone is using my address I use for this list to send out MyDoom to it. As I only use linux boxes and I use this address for the only purpose of writing to this list, it is very unlikely that my computer is infected with that virus. I added a spf header to my domains (see http://spf.pobox.com/ for more info) so that your (and maybe SuSE's) spam-filter or MTA can block those fakes out. If you do not use a spf module, you can still check *@ott-service.de addresses, as they should be mailed via our mail server 217.172.180.245. Any other sender ip is a fake. In addition, I am changing the address, I use to access this list and unsubscribe/block this one. cyas Jörn

--- forwarded spam deleted, you [censored] --- as I mentioned a time ago, can't you contact the list admins with that [censored] problem? It's not security related, anyway. GTi
