A lot of places. SecurityFocus (http://www.securityfocus.com/) has a Linux section with docs on how to harden a Linux box. They also have a Vulnerabilities database. To actually check the machine, try nmap (http://www.insecure.org/nmap/), though interpreting its results is needs a good knowledge of TCP/IP. An easier tool is nessus (http://www.nessus.org/). Ho, and they're both free. Cheers, Lionel -- Phidani Software (http://www.phidani.be) RainCode Corp.
