No, I cannot. This is exactly the same wrong announcement as before. None of the checksums have been changed. Worse yet, now there are two different versions of lprold.rpm for SuSE 6.1 floating around on several mirrors, namely one with the checksum 759c041c44631fabf0f1d069a92fc8f1 (with date from a week ago) and one with 6340bd651729c535cc2ae2ff0e080a47 (dated 21st January). but still no package with a40c4313756d5b3870fd4bd90e74bc32 Which one should I install? Is it so difficult to get simple things like checksums right? Not so amused, sincerely, Martin Leweling -- Martin Leweling Institut fuer Planetologie, WWU Muenster Wilhelm-Klemm-Str. 10, 48149 Muenster, Germany E-Mail (work): lewelin@uni-muenster.de Please sign the Linux Driver Petition on http://www.libranet.com/petition.html
Hi everybody, I just downloaded the lprold.rpm package for SuSE 6.1, and just used: gpg --print-md MD5 lprold-3.0.48-4.i386.rpm I got the following checksum: lprold-3.0.48-4.i386.rpm: 63 40 BD 65 17 29 C5 35 CC 2A E2 FF 0E 08 0A 47 This does not seem to match that given in the announcement. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe a gpg problem? Or did I do this correctly, and the package just does not have the correct checksum? Has anybody else checked this package and got the correct checksum? Cryptographically confused, John Pinder
Hi,
gpg --print-md MD5 lprold-3.0.48-4.i386.rpm
I got the following checksum:
lprold-3.0.48-4.i386.rpm: 63 40 BD 65 17 29 C5 35 CC 2A E2 FF 0E 08 0A 47
This does not seem to match that given in the announcement. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe a gpg problem?
Or did I do this correctly, and the package just does not have the correct checksum? Has anybody else checked this package and got the correct checksum?
We updated the lprold RPM _after_ the announcement was released. Everthing is ok. :) Bye, Thomas -- Thomas Biege, SuSE GmbH, Schanzaeckerstr. 10, 90443 Nuernberg E@mail: thomas@suse.de Function: Security Support & Auditing "lynx -source http://www.suse.de/~thomas/thomas.pgp | pgp -fka" Key fingerprint = 09 48 F2 FD 81 F7 E7 98 6D C7 36 F1 96 6A 12 47
