AW: [suse-security] Scotty
Hello Michael, I have used nessus, but I only know it as a vulnerability scanner, which scans single systems (or a range of adresses) for weaknesses. But I first want to get a picture of the network topology, and then perform scans of single, exposed systems (or maybe a range ;-). Is nessus really able to produce topology maps ? there is an application named "scotty" on the Suse CD's, which seems to be a kind of a network topology analyzer. Has anybody ever used this app, or is there an app which performs network topology analysis on the Suse CD's, or does anybody at least know such an app for Linux ?
I want to perform a security assessment of our net, thats the relationship to this list ;-)
Just check nessus www.nessus.org snip --------- The "Nessus" Project aims to provide to the internet community a free, powerful, up-to-date and easy to use remote security scanner --------- snap Michael
