SamSpade is good, but I'd go straight to http://www.arin.net/ myself. ShirZ

How can i know the owner of an IP address. There is no reverse mapping for dial-up address but each ISP has his own range of IP's.
Could I know from where connecctions come, far away from traceroute? Yes, it could be IP spoofing but ...

Well you might, but spade will get closer and provide other info with the same click, whereas arin will only tell you what arin has. http://www.samspade.org/t/lookat?a=200.74.215.20+ Click that, and take a look at the hyperlinked traceroute on the bottom . (not a tr from YOUR location admittedly). Spade had it and the traceroute done in the time it took arin just to do the lookup. -- _________________________________ John Andersen / Juneau Alaska
