0x9552:0x1002:0x9552: Mobility Radeon HD4330
I have a MSI 6667BB-004US barebones system that has the HD4330 in it .. I'm using my TV through hdmi .. Ubuntu 10.04 Beta .. When I boot up the box I see the Ubuntu loading screen and then a second later it switches to a purple background and stays there unresponsive .. no cursor .. I tried to include as much info as I could think relevant .. If you need anything else let me know :) paul http://www.paulfour.com/Xorg.0.log http://www.paulfour.com/otherinfo.txt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Doesn't 10.04 use KMS as default? You can check that with "dmesg | grep drm". If you want to use KMS, you've to use radeon (AKA xf86-video-ati) If you want to use radeonhd, you've to disable KMS (radeon.modeset=0 in GRUB will make the trick). -- Rafał -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
