Hello, I am experiencing problems with my graphics card and I'm trying to use the radeonhd driver. I don't get either 2D or 3D-acceleration. It also makes gnome-settings-manager crash when logging in from gdm. Here are some kernel messages: [ 71.848353] printk: 69 messages suppressed. My system is a AMD64 3200+, 2GB Ram, Powercolor Ati Radeon HD3850 512MB AGP, 160GB HDD, Ubunty Hardy Alpha5 64-bit (did not work with Gutsy either). Kernel version is 2.6.24-10-generic If you need more info or need a volunteer tester of your driver, please tell me. Br /Andreas Lunderhage andreas@lunderhage.se

I can confirm the gnome-settings-manager problem with the latest build from git on the Ubuntu Hardy Alpha 5 release. I suppose that's what I get for running two development efforts on top of each other. Leads to general unhappiness in many things Gnome touches. Evolution took to crashing occasionally about the same time...I'm reluctant to make a connection because Evolution will crash on card tricks even under the best of circumstances, but the timing is suspicious. Xorg.log shows no errors except one item relating to power handling (R580+).
