Re: [radeonhd] GA-MA78G-DS3H (780G) - situation?

Someone said it in May won't even work properly with fglrx. Has anyone any experience with this board? What about VGA signal quality?
I've got the GA-MA78GM-S2H which is working great here.
From the connectors of both boards are identical.
Hard to say how good the quality of the VGA output is, really. I've tested it mostly with panels and there (after going thru a DAC and an ADC) the result on the screen doesn't show the dynamics of DVI but it's impossible to see how edges are smeared out: the signal for a single pixel is either trivially mapped to a discrete pixel on the screen or is smeared out by the stretching electronics already. Got the DS3H here now which delivers a really good VGA signal, 1600x1200@85 perfectly usable (and I'm picky), but fglrx gives me hell (using Xv crashes X entrirely so it's either free driver or NVidia. Question is: how do I get the free driver into Debian etch? -- -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 GCS d--(+)@ s-:+ a C++++ UL++ P+>++ L+++>++++ E-- W++ N o?
