Hello, I tried the latest sources with my X1300 card now and after reading the documentation I thought that it shoud work with my card. There seems to be a RandR problem: (EE) RADEONHD(0): RandR: No valid modes. Disabling RandR support. (EE) RADEONHD(0): Failed to detect a connected monitor Attached you find the Xorg.0.log and my xorg.conf. Is this a radeonhd problem? Or should it work and I need some updated software? (I am using debian sid.) The conntest output: # rhd_conntest 2:00:00 rhd_conntest: v1.2.1, non-git sources Checking connectors on 0x7146, 0x17AF, 0x2158 (@02:00:00): Load Detection: RHD_OUTPUT_NONE HotPlug: RHD_HPD_NONE DDC: RHD_DDC_1 Regards Paul. What happens if you provide the xorg.conf device section option Option "HPD" "off" And see whether this corrects your problem. HPD_NONE is kind of disturbing though. Can you connect a DVI-I to VGA adapter to your DVI connector and then run rhd_conntest again? Luc Verhaegen. Hi, Thank you very much. yes, switching HPD off solves the problem. I don't have a DVI-I to VGA connector, so I can't check this here right now, sorry. Regards Paul -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

This is not a solution at all, it's a temporary test.

You should have received one with your card. Luc Verhaegen. SUSE/Novell X Driver Developer. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

I bought the card via ebay. I only received the card, without any other equipment. Regards Paul. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
