Re: [radeonhd] quick_and_dirty_2d pushed to master
Hi Vladimir,
I am using quick_and_dirty_2d branch with firefox3 and get "magic" messed results when pages has some background image.
Don't use firefox3, because it is broken (globally?), it seems. I get this problem everywhere, also with an older radeonhd(4):
pkg_info|grep radeon xf86-video-radeonhd-1.2.1_1 X.Org ati RadeonHD display driver
Simply install firefox 2 back again and this bug will go away. ;) -- Martin

As far as I know radeonhd is not production quality driver yet. So, trying to use this driver you act as volunteer. (I guess).

I have firefox2 installed side-by-side with ff3. So I always may to see broken pages. Anyway, Option "AccelMethod" "EXA" helps me, probably will help you also, check it. If nobody will try new software it will never get any reasonable quality (as minimum for free).

I think you misunderstood me. I was trying to tell you that the radeonhd driver (recent release) is working ok for me on my 2 FreeBSD machines. The problem is that I consider radeonhd to be more "production quality" than Firefox 3 is.

I tried Firefox 3 and this bug is already reported. More than look at the status, I cannot do at this time. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442451 -- Martin

I think this maybe due to offscreen pixmaps being busted with XAA in the xserver. Setting: Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" in your xorg.conf may fix XAA. Newer xservers set this automatically. Yes, this fix problem in my case.
