Actually, this should be xrandr --output DVI-I_DFP1/TMDS_A --size 1600x1200 -s is RandR 1.1 Please retest.
I updated to 99fbaeeb443b5474bb99f24541ebfe697484df0d and I see both
In that case it's a different issue, but I think using --size will work.
xrandr --output PANEL_LCD1/LVDS --left-of DVI-I_DFP1/TMDS_A xrandr: screen cannot be larger than 1600x1600 (desired size 2800x1050)
The server cannot increase the framebuffer size during runtime (yet). So you either have to configure this on startup, or add a Option "Virtual" <width> <height> to your Screen section (actually the Display subsection there). width and height being the maximum size you want to use.
Also when I log off usually the LCD's LED turns red and when X is restarted the LCD stays black. Turning it off, then on, and then starting X again fixes the problem though. That also happens in the master branch.
So at least no regression. Is just restarting X not enough?
P.S. Any reason why you didn't sent this to the radeonhd mailing list?
I forgot. Then I bounced it there (hopefully I did).

Hmm, weird, but anyway --size did the same (nothing).

Good to know.

No, the LCD stays with the red LED. Best regards. -- Felipe Contreras -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Then there's clearly something going wrong. Could you please send me another server log (X --logverbose 7) and the output of xrandr --verbose --output DVI-I_DFP1/TMDS_A -size 1600x1200 ? Also the output of xrandr --verbose -q afterwards. Alternatively, you also might want to try a newer xrandr application from git, some of the bits I fixed might also affect non-cloned outputs. xrandr is easy to compile (few dependencies only).

O-key. Something for Luc.
