radeonhd does not recognize X1250 card and HDMI connector not recognized.
Hello: I just pulled down the lated radeonhd drivers to give them a shot. My system is a Gigabyte GBTMA69G-S3 with a X1250 IGP chipset. the chip id 0x791e is in the rhd_id.c file so I was thinking that this hardware was supported. However, I receive a message in the Xorg.log file that says it's not recognized. Also, The only video connectors that seem to be detected are the VGA_1 and SVIDEO_TV. HDMI, component, and DVI all do not work. Here's a copy of the xorg.0.log, rhd_conntest output, and my xorg.conf: xorg.0.log: X.Org X Server 1.4.0 Release Date: 5 September 2007 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0 Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.23.8 x86_64 Current Operating System: Linux myth-livingroom 2.6.23.8 #2 SMP Wed Nov 28 22:28:59 CST 2007 x86_64 Build Date: 28 November 2007 09:49:59PM Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version. I just pulled down the lated radeonhd drivers to give them a shot. However, I receive a message in the Xorg.log file that says it's not recognized. Also, The only video connectors that seem to be detected are the VGA_1 and SVIDEO_TV. HDMI, component, and DVI all do not work. Here's a copy of the xorg.0.log, rhd_conntest output, and my xorg.conf:
Hm, AtomBIOS clearly states there is only VGA and TV.
Can you send us a BIOS image by running conntest?

Attached is the bios recoverd by running rhd_conntest.
Thanks for looking at this!

Also, the HDMI and DVI outputs work using fglrx driver. I'm wondering
if the fglrx isn't using the information from the ATOM BIOS to
determine connectors present. I had to explicitly enable the monitors
using ForceMonitors and EnableMonitor Options in my xorg.conf.
Not sure if that info helps or not.

Yes, this explains a lot! Broken connector table in the BIOS. We don't have any workaround for that yet. You didn't happen to flash the BIOS since you bought the board?
Not sure if that info helps or not.
Definitely. We'll probably have to discuss this with AMD.

Argh! I did flash the BIOS with an update from Gigabyte to supposedly correct a CPU detection issue. I did that upgrade almost immediately after purchasing the the board so I have no idea if the BIOS that came with the board had valid connector tables. I'll try downgrading the BIOS just to see, since it never fixed the problem. I'll let you know if that makes a difference.

According to google there are three(!) different versions of your
mainboard available, which actually differ in connectors...
BTW - the HDMI connector isn't detected at all in our driver yet, so no
wonder it doesn't show up in the connector table.
