Hi there, I need some help configuring nat for some simple gateway. I have edited the routing table according to my situation and the squid qroxy is doing fine. Only direct connections don't work due to nat is not configured yet. I dont want to mess with a complex firewall installation. I only want a simple gateway. Maybe someone already has some similar configuration running and has some clues for me. Regards Konrad trojok
Dear Konrad, i hope that i understand you correctly. I think the nat rule must be: iptables -t NAT -A POSTROUTING -S xxx.xxx.xxx.x/x -o ethx -J MASQUERADE Whereas you must replaces the "xxx.xxx.xxx.x/x" by your local subnet like: 192.168.20.0/24 and the "ethx" must replaces by youre outgoing network device. Assumed your device ist eth0 with the ip: 195.125.1.65 every packet who passed the device becomes this ip. Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards, -- Timo Dotzauer
