[opensuse-project] Re:Astronomical Program
Hello, thangs for all the responces. They helped a lot. But I ask for a program, moving my telescope, stacking my pictures taken with my web-cam, knowing picture-formats like fits and with a GUI like celestia and all the functions like kstar or carde du ciel. With other words a program wich do allmost all functions a hobby-astronom would use. Thats all, because I would stopp using 'windoof' for my astronomical hobby and would use Linux . With regards Rainer --

Moin Rainer,
But I ask for a program, moving my telescope,
Stellarium can control telescopes using the same instruction sets as the LX200.
stacking my pictures taken with my web-cam,
http://iraf.net/ should be able to do that.
knowing picture-formats like fits

I am not aware of an "integrated solution". What are you using on Windows? Iraf is not a stacking program. Btw there are old packages for an old SuSE on my website. Be warned, iraf is a PITA both for programmers and users. Look at midas instead. There was one stacking program available for Linux, but I forgot its name. Astrostack sort of works under wine.

Yeah viewing is easy. gimp and ImageMagick do that too (with slightly different results).
