[opensuse-project] bugzilla proposal wrt internal bug reports not publicly visible
It seems I have hit a few of these recently, latest one today - it is a little annoying when one's report is marked duplicate of something one cannot see. I totally appreciate having two reports is a hassle for whoever is working the bug too, but given two reports A and B, could we perhaps disallow marking A a duplicate of B unless B is visible to the reporter of A? Yes, I agree. It must be documented somehow that they are duplicated, but an openSUSE bugzilla can not be closed just because there is an SLES bug tracking it, if we can not read it. However, on one such bug recently, I found to my surprise that I had been added to the list of people allowed on the SLES bug. Probably it happened automatically when I got the email about my report been closed as duplicate, so at least the people listed on one bug get added to the other. I don't know if this was done automatically or manually. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Thanks Carlos - I'm forwarding my proposal to bugzilla@opensuse.org, we'll see what they say. (not sure that is the correct address though). -- Per Jessen, Zürich (0.0°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

It was the wrong address, but I also copied admin@opensuse.org, who said "not my table, try opensuse-project".
