[opensuse-project] Running for The Board
Hi all, I saw a call for participation in the openSUSE Board elections and as I noticed that there might not be enough candidates, I decided yesterday to participate, wrote a kinda platform and made sure I actually can try to become Board member (got Ok from HR). So I got everything ready to submit my application and at that moment I saw that Kostas just decided in the end to run for reelection. That got me thinking as I'm really glad for the work Board did in the past and I support them and with Kostas joining, we have three really good candidates... It makes submitting my application partially pointless as I believe that current candidates will be a good fit for the project. On the other hand, having the same amount of candidates as the positions open doesn't sound right, so lets make it at least a little bit competition :-) With those words, I would like to announce my intend to run for the Board. Good luck to all the candidates, nothing is set in stone now :-D [1] http://michal.hrusecky.net/2014/12/running-for-the-board/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Hey no your run is not pointless. It's a great opportunity for the project to have you in this run. Thanks! I just meant that I think that current board did a great job and I appreciate everything they did and even if I don't get in, I'll be happy as we will have a great Board :-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
