[opensuse-project] konvenientSUSE and opensuse-xgl-settings
Hello How is your opinion on konvenientSUSE http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=43378 and opensuse-xgl-settings htp://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=51201? I think there are nice tools. It would be great help for new users, because the biggest problem for users is adding repositories, install drivers... Is it possible to add in default installation for openSUSE 10.3? And for example it would be first step after installation. They're both great tools indeed by the great Martin Schlander (cb400f). Unfortunately these type of tools couldn't be included in the distribution by default for legal reasons. See http://opensuse.org/Restricted_Formats for more information. Thanks ;-) I myself think they're too rough to be in the distro though - even if it were legally possible. They're just ultra simple kommander-scripts, with no error handling or anything. But a KDE (or YaST2) gui for enabling Xgl/Compiz - and Beryl, if it's included in 10.3 - would be really nice, and not very hard to do I'd think, since we have the kde-start-compiz-patch and "gnome"-xgl-switch. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
What a pity. Because one of the most frequently qeustion of new users is where or how to add installation repositories. When using konvenientSUSE it is very simple. Ok.Thanks for your answer. -- S pozdravom/regards Krupanský Rastislav Martin Schlander wrote / napísal(a):
