Environment: SuSE 8.2 Professional with gcc 3.3.1 I found HTML documentation for libstd++ but not man pages and nothing for ios. Are there man pages for g++ classes and function anywhere? TIA. Bob Pearson -- I am unique and special, just like everyone else.

Not for libstdc++. If they wouldn't have the HTML documentation, it would be in texinfo, not troff format. Philipp

Not unless you're using C standard library functions. You might find what you're looking for in the C++ standard. You can get a PDF copy of the last draft standard - just do a google search. There is a lot of documentation on C++ classes just out on the web. For ios, look for documentation on the fstream, ifstream and ofstream classes, and of course iostream if you're not opening files. Try putting fstream into Google. -- JDL Non enim propter gloriam, diuicias aut honores pugnamus set propter libertatem solummodo quam Nemo bonus nisi simul cum vita amittit.
