Hello I'm trying to compile for the first time an OpenGL application. I think I have all of the libraries but I seem not to have some headers (glut.h for example). I searched through every installation CDROM and rpm'd every file containing the name "mesa" and "glx" or whatever sounded OpenGL-like. Can anyone point me to what I'm missing? TIA & Cheers

Doesn't the manufacturer of your graphics board supply his own drivers for Linux? Usually when this is the case, you find also opengl libraries/headers native to your graphic card. The manufacturer (ATI) had some drivers but they tainted the kernel when I installed them on 8.1. On 8.2, I did not have to install anything from ATI and 3D acceleration seems to work. Anyway, I have just compiled my program and it ran as expected.
