Hello! I tried to install xnview on my machine, a program to convert multiple graphic formats. The rpm-Manager said, that ld-linux.so2 was missing, as I found out, part of libformat.so. Am I right that this package only exists for ibm-pcs? Is there anything, one can do about that? Is there any database for this kind of problems (I tried rpmfind.net)? Is there any alternative multiple-graphic-formats- converting-tool? Marianne

Is there any alternative multiple-graphic-formats- converting-tool? Yes, there is a powerfull tool named 'convert', which is part of imagemagick.
man convert: --- DESCRIPTION Convert converts an input file using one image format to an output file with a differing image format. In addition, vari- ous types of image processing can be performed on the converted image during the conversion process. Convert recognizes the image formats listed in ImageMagick(1). --- hope this helps, Stoffel. -- Anything that is good and useful is made of chocolate.
Hello, Is there any way to run Java applets in Konqueror without them using their own window but rather run inside the html display. All I get is lots of java applets popping up on my screen and blank holes in the html where they should be. Thanks for any help! Joss --

Yes, I can use Java and see the applets but they are not part of the web page. I don't see anything on the imaclinux.net page to help me integrate java applets into the web page. thanks anyway, Joss On Tue, Apr 16, 2002 at 02:10:25AM +0200, Olivier Reisch wrote:

thanks for pointing that out. I always forget IM is there. Shame it won't convert PSP files. I could really have done with that today.... :-( Joss --
