Oki, I was trying to install SSH 2 on my linuxbox, using SuSE 7.0 (ppc). I had to compile the source and it went fine, then when I tried to start the damn thing the following error came: sshd2: SSH Secure Shell 2.4.0 (non-commercial version) on powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu FATAL: Received signal 11. But when I installed version 1.X somthing, then it worked with no problems. Any ideas??? Markús

Tell me the download location to verify that. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
I have a problem getting openssh server to work on suse ppc 7.0. I installed openssh-2.2.0p1-2, together with the server and the client companion packages from linuppc.org. The ssh client works fine. When I try to use the server I get to the point where a password can be entered, but the the answer is: permission denied. I did not change configuration file. By the way, I found it hard to find any ssh-package that could be installed at all. The suse site does not give a clue, as far as I could figure out. Would SSH 2 be a better choice? Is there a package that is specially configured for the suse ppc distribution? =================================================================== Roel C. de Vrijer Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Dept. of Math. and Comp.
