I ahve kernel 2.4.0-test10 patched with 0.0.2d The pktcdvd module loads fine. I can mount a UDF formatted CDRW, but if I try to write to it I get a total freeze of the system. A hard reset is the only way out. Yamaha 2214 IDE scsi-ide emulation The logs are empty. Does anybody else have problems? thanks Mark

Yes, I had the same with test10 and a HP 9110 IDE, the problem occured when large amount was written (or, I guess, when ACTUALLY stuff is written out and not still hanging around in the buffers) -- ciao norb +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Norbert Preining http://www.logic.at/people/preining | | University of Technology Vienna, Austria preining@logic.at | | DSA: 0x09C5B094 (RSA: 0xCF1FA165) mail subject: get [DSA|RSA]-key | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+

I haven't tried the packet-writing, but I have noticed general flakiness with Yamaha and SCSI emulation. Do you ever have any problems with the CDRW at other times? Shane
