[opensuse-packaging] mkswap UUID
Hello List, for my Suse 10.1 i used an Suse 11.0 src-rpm (2.14.1) of util-linux to get UUID-Support for mkswap. I did unrpm and packaged on my own machine "mkswap --help" tells: Usage: mkswap [-c] [-v0|-v1] [-pPAGESZ] [-L label] [-U UUID] /dev/name [blocks] But if i want to use "mkswap -U $(uuidgen) /dev/sda1" it tells: mkswap: warning: ignore -U (UUIDs are unsupported by mkswap) Usage: mkswap [-c] [-v0|-v1] [-pPAGESZ] [-L label] [-U UUID] /dev/name [blocks] Can anybody explain this behaviour? Is there a basepackage which should be upgraded? Got no error at packaging. ok, found packages of Clonezilla DRBL with mkswap-uuid no explanation for this behaviour but enough for my purposes. Thanks, Andre -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

THis question is off-topic here, but anyway, I will strongly suggest you not to mess up stuff mixing packages from different distributions, specially when we are talking about the base system. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
