[opensuse-packaging] Moving devel packages from home:hennevogel:TODO to devel:openSUSE:Factory
I propose to move all packages from home:hennevogel:TODO to devel:openSUSE:Factory. home:hennevogel:TODO was created as collection point for packages where it was not clear where the packages belong to - and devel:openSUSE:Factory was created as a collection point for packages where it's not clear where they belong or where the devel projects do not really make sense (see http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-packaging/2009-09/msg00156.html). I've BCC'ed all maintainers of packagers with packages in home:hennevogel:TODO. If you like to move your packages elsewhere or have better suggestions, please speakup. I think it's time to get rid of home:hennevogel:TODO as devel project. Otherwise, I'll move the packages starting on Wednesday, 17th of February, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Thats not really true. It was created because some maintainers did not took care of their package. It might be because they couldn't figure out where it belongs to but often enough they just did not care, and still don't. You should go through them and see which of these packages still make sense and where they could belong to. Moving them to d:o:F just ignores that a big percentage of them are even unmaintained... I'd be happy to take over maintainership of the "tidy" package if nobody else cares about it. I've just recently cleaned it up and updated it. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

That's good to know, then you're the one to fix "nothing provides libtidy-devel". This should be provided by whatever is the new name. And tidy clearly belongs in e.g. network. That was a copy-and-paste error, should be fixed now, libtidy-0_99-0-devel now provides libtidy-devel. I'll sr it to Factory in a momemnt. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

I've talked with henne and will not do the move right now since some are really unmaintained. But I ask for volunteers to take care of the packages and help cleaning them up. I'll also reach out to a few people directly to cleanup the list of packages, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
