[opensuse-packaging] Updating vifm
Hello list, When trying to update the package for vifm I stumble upon two problems [1] One for RHEL_6 and one for SLE_11. So far I was trying to solve the SLE issue but even after reading [2] and [3] I didn't get it to work. The spec file [4] seems to be okay for all other targets. Maybe somebody could take a look and give me a hint? 1: https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/home:jubalh:branches:utilities?blocked=0&building=0&dispatching=0&finished=0&pkgname=vifm&scheduled=0&signing=0&succeeded=0 2: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/400946-desktop-file-translation-e... 3: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Conventions_RPM_Macros#.25suse_up... 4: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/home:jubalh:branches:utilities/... -- Michael -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks! I tried similar things, descibed in the links I mentioned. AFAIK this will break compatibillity with non-SUSE targets. I wonder from which to which version suse_update_desktop_file is working so I could add this to the spec. I would like to know how to find this out, since the documentation [1] doesn't provide any answer. 1: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Conventions_RPM_Macros#.25suse_up... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, thank you. I already used that :-) But my general question about: how to know in which version a macro became available still applies. Anybody knows how to find that out? So I can know about this in the future. Also some packages seem to have different names/got splitted on other versions (same distribution/vendor) and I would like to know whether this is documented somewhere. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
