[opensuse-packaging] building php5 debuginfo rpms
How do you build the php5 debuginfo packages? I've amended to the php5.spec to build a specific extension that I need to debug. And the build is fine. I get 55 rpms (including the 2 I have added) but there are no debuginfo or debugsource rpms. I've tried searching for info on how to generate the debuginfo packages but to no avail. What is the secret? OK - I guess that is my question. How do I enable debuginfo generation? I've searched and found nothing. Thanks. Is it possible to do this any other way? I'm set up for build and rpmbuild. Haven't played with osc yet. I think this should work: osc build -d or build --debug=yes For rpmbuild it is a bit more difficult to do I think. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Actually, (for the sake of lurkers) it is just build --debug Thanks for the help - build ran fine and all the debuginfo and debugsource files were generated. Add to package.spec:
%debug_package
Before %prep section.
But don't forget this only works with rpmbuild, if you use build service remove or comment and escape (%%) it out. Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
