[opensuse-packaging] Something wrong with OGRE as built in games
When trying to run stuntrally: An exception has occured: OGRE EXCEPTION(5:ItemIdentityException): Can not find codec for 'png' image format. I have no idea how to enable png codec in ogre. This is not neccessary error. It can be just that we don't want bundled libraries and use instead system libraries for it. Maybe something there is changed and cause broken png support. ( it would be nice if such library have tests for this case ). I reccomend to try compile simple example with png using freeimage and if it doesn't work, then investigate what is going wrong in freeimage library. I thought I'd take a look, but I don't see fault in those patches... The build log shows it's indeed using system libpng, the plugin is included, there's no conditional that I could see that could make the plugin fail under system libpng... The patches to use the systen libraries are broken.
I thought I'd take a look, but I don't see fault in those patches...
The build log shows it's indeed using system libpng, the plugin is included, there's no conditional that I could see that could make the plugin fail under system libpng... I'm clueless
libfreeimage links to libpng and the game works in my 12.1 x86-64 machine.
The only recent change has been https://build.opensuse.org/package/rdiff?linkrev=base&package=ogre&project=games&rev=42. From Ilya... undoing five change he did three weeks ago. The changes have nothing similar to a changelog and seem to have been done in a try and error fashion.
Well finally, I made the game to start. Seems it conflicted with older versions of OGRE installed and also needs the CG plugin.
