[opensuse-packaging] Help finding the right plugin
Hi, I am working on packaging Pithos (a GNOME app for Pandora). Got things packaging OK, but when I run the app I get the following messages: ERROR:root:Gstreamer error: Your GStreamer installation is missing a plug-in., gstdecodebin2.c(3076): gst_decode_bin_expose (): /GstPlayBin2:player/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin5/GstDecodeBin2:decodebin25: no suitable plugins found Any ideas what gstreamer plugin I am looking for? The following plugins are installed on my system: -> rpm -qa | grep gstreamer | grep plugins gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad-0.10.18-6.2.x86_64 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base-0.10.30-999.pm.1002.7.x86_64 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-ugly-lang-0.10.15-999.pm.1002.12.noarch gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-0.10.22-1.16.x86_64 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base-lang-0.10.30-999.pm.1002.7.noarch gstreamer-0_10-plugins-ugly-0.10.15-999.pm.1002.12.x86_64 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base-devel-0.10.30-999.pm.1002.7.x86_64 If I read this correctly: http://www.gstreamer.net/documentation/plugins.html I need plugins-base 0.10.31, does this sound right? Looks like I am SOL for openSUSE 11.3? Help is appreciated. As a side note, it's a little strange to have half of the plugin packages from the original distribution and half from Packman. Once you're using Packman, I'd suggest using it for all plugins.

Yes, that's what I read too.
Looks like I am SOL for openSUSE 11.3?
For the time being, yes, but this may not be a permanent state. You may ask the Packman packager of gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base (Toni Graffy) if he would consider a version update. Contrary to the original distribution packages, Packman packages can see version updates. -- Jean Delvare Suse L3 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Unfortunately one can't build against packman packages in openSUSE build service. Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
