[opensuse-packaging] Incorrect locale?
When I run an application with Russian UTF-8 locale, it displays garbage symbols in the menu. The same is with other Russian locales such as KOI-8 (but the garbage characters are different). Only with English locale the interface appears correctly. I wonder what may be the cause: incorrect locale files or build options? Can it be corrected? Maybe the locale files should be converted? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Update. The menu locale files are indeed in Unicode. I wonder why they are displayed incorrectly in runtime. Maybe the variales used are of one-byte type? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

My crystal ball doesn't work currently. You need to provide more information about the application, etc., so that someone can reproduce the problem. Regards, Bernhard

Which package? What's the test case? Without such information we can only make wild guesses and that won't help you. Philipp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
