[opensuse-packaging] rpmlint no-binary check is broken in factory?
from python buildlog: python-base.x86_64: W: no-binary The package should be of the noarch architecture because it doesn't contain any binaries. I'm reasonably sure that python-base actually does contain a number of binary files (/usr/bin/python, to name one). It seems like no-binary is now true in all packages. Somebody please fix it, this flag was pretty useful for determining which python modules can be switched to noarch ;) m. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

I guess the problem is a missing or broken 'magic' module in rpmlint-mini. Feel free to file a bug report or just fix it yourself (rpmlint itself is written in python :-)) cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

I think it was a bug in rpmlint 0.87,which is why I updated to 0.90. if it still happens, please file a bugreport at bugzilla.novell.com and assign it to me.
