Hey Andreas now that Hubert Mantel has stepped down you should throw you hat in. I always thought that you would be perfect for that role. -- Walter C. Hieber www.thepumpbox.com

Hi Walter ;) As you know my programming skills are pretty pathetic and I already feel very under qualified compared to many awesome engineers at SUSE. I don't think that role would suit me, but I am flattered. Andreas
Andreas, An eye ball can't tell what color it is without the aid of a mirror. I have seen your work and your ability to lead and know that you would be perfect. Leading is more about knowing what needs to be done and making sure that it gets done than doing it. Walter Andreas Girardet wrote:

Err, you should perhaps understand that Hubert was "just" one of our kernel developers. There are still some kernel developers left... Andi Kleen Andrea Arcangeli Andreas Gruenbacher Chris Mason Gerd Knorr Hannes Reinecke Jan Beulich Jan Kara Jeff Mahoney Karsten Keil Kurt Garloff Olaf Hering Olaf Kirch Pavel Machek Robert Love Takash Iwai Vojtech Pavlik ... So ... Hubert left ... which is sad. But the kernel developers and the SUSE spirit stays on. :) Ciao, Marcus
