suspend and the ati driver, do the behave well together?
Hi, I have a t42p with a "ATI MOBILITY FIRE GL T2" running under the closed driver version 2.0.6400 (8.35.5) on Suse 10.2. I was able to suspend to disk and resume once. The 2nd time it failed to resume. Is there any way to get this working stable together? Also, I sometimes need VMware. Does their driver interfer with the ATI driver? With the open source radeon driver it had all worked together but without 3D. Thanks, Torsten

Hi Torsten, HP NX9420, ATI Radeon Mobility X1600 openSuse 10.2 ati-fglrxG01-kmp-default-8.36.5_2.6.18.8_0.3-1.1

s2disk worked some times ago. Now it works sometimes, but sometimes I get swsusp: Need to copy 115667 pages kernel: swsusp: Not enough free memory and the machine resumes. Probably this depends on ATI driver, but spend no time to solve it until now.
Also, I sometimes need VMware. Does their driver interfer with the ATI driver?
VMWare Workstation 5.5 and 6.0 works with this constellation. Bye Ralf -- Antworten bitte nur in die Mailingliste!
