Problem mit Inspiron 8500 mit 1920x1200 Auflösung und nvidia Treiber
Hallo, ich habe hier einen Dell Inspiron 8500 mit einer GForce 4 4200 Go. Das Display ist ein WUXGA mit möleich Auflösung von 1920x1200 bei 60Hz. Installiert ist SuSE 8.2 Zur Zeit sind mit dem nvidia-Treiber problemlos 1680x1050 bei 24 bit möglich (XFconfig1680.txt). Wenn ich die Auflösung mit 1920x1200 einstellen möchte (XFconfig1920.txt), so erhalte ich verschobene Doppelbilder mit dem nvidia-Treiber - bei benutzen des nv-Treibers klappt die Auflösung, jedoch kein Umschalten auf die Konsole mehr. Beim Suchen im www fand ich unter http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/G.Wilford/Inspiron8500/ die XF86config http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/G.Wilford/Inspiron8500/files/XF86Config.... eine XF86config, welche angeblich die von mir gewünschte 1920x1200 macht, jedoch nur unter RedHat. Wenn ich die dort zur Verfügung gestellte XFconffig bei mir einsetze, so erscheint nach Starten von X nur der NVidia-Startbildschirm (allerdings klar und nicht als Doppelbild), nicht jedoch der dann normalerweise folgende Anmeldebildschirm. Weis vielleicht jemand Rat, wie ich bei mir die 1920x1200-Auflösung mit dem NVidia-Treiber einstellen kann. Anhängend mal mein XFconfig1650(1920).txt. Naja, geht doch schon mal in die richtige Richtung. Sag mal, bist Du sicher, dass das Display mehr kann? Ich hab mir die Berichte unter http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/dell.html angeschaut und alle Sprechen von ner 1680x1050er Auflösung, von ner höheren finde ich da nix. Naja, geht doch schon mal in die richtige Richtung. Sag mal, bist Du sicher, dass das Display mehr kann? Ich hab mir die Berichte unter http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/dell.html angeschaut und alle Sprechen von ner 1680x1050er Auflösung, von ner höheren finde ich da nix.
Den Artikel kenne ich. Er beruht allerdings auf dem WSXGA-Displays - ich selbst habe jedoch das WUXGA-Display mit der maximalen Auflösung von 1920x1200. Unter Windows-OS funktioniert die Auflösung einwandfrei. Unter Linux, wie schon geschrieben in der ersten Mail nur mit dem nv-Treiber und Umschaltproblemen auf die Konsolen 1-6. Der Artikel unter http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/G.Wilford/Inspiron8500/ erschienene Artikel baut ebenfalls auf dem gleichen Laptop, Inspiron 8500, mit dem WUXGA-Display - somit wohl machbar.
Schau mal in die /var/log/XFree86.0.log, da sollten entsprechende Fehlermeldungen zu finden sein.
Hab da mal reingeschaut, jedoch m. E. nicht hinreichende Infos erhalten bzw. kann damit nicht viel anfangen. die Größe des Displays stimmt und die Auflösung wird mit 1920x1200 bei 60 Hz lt. Hersteller Dell angegeben. Ich sende Dir sie mal per PM zu.
