Hello, I really apologize for writing in English, but unfortunatelly I don't know German and nobody on English SuSE mailing list seemed to know the answer to my question. I have a Fujitsu-Siemmens Amilo L notebook and I cannot use Fn+F4 key combination to change the display to external monitor - when I do that, the virtual console nr 3 appears just as if I pressed Ctrl+Alt+F3. Do you know how to change this behaviour? Any help appreciated, Adam Naumowicz __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Try with acpi=off as additional parameter on the boot prompt. Greetings from Bremen hartmut

Try with
acpi=off
as additional parameter on the boot prompt.
That is even worse, because with acpi=off (and the same in Failsafe mode) the system hangs completely when Fn+F4 is pressed ;-( I have a freshly installed SuSE 9.0, so all settings should be default and not misconfigured. Do you have any clue? Adam __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Hotjobs: Enter the "Signing Bonus" Sweepstakes http://hotjobs.sweepstakes.yahoo.com/signingbonus
