Ich boote Suse 7.3 mit: loadlin.exe c:\loadlin\zimage root=/dev/hdaXY ro Das Kernel-Image (zimage) befindet sich in c:\loadlin\ und auf /boot unter Linux. Das merkwürdige in diesem Zusammenhang ist das das booten des auf der HD Installierten Systems mit der Suse 7.3 CD mit der Angabe /dev/hdaXY einwandfrei funktioniert. Wobei XY selbstverständlich der Nummer meiner rootpartition entspricht. Hallo an alle, bitte freundlichst um eure Hilfe. Mein XF86-System startet nicht durch sondern bricht ab. Es erscheint nur der NVidia Splash, X-Server- Muster und dann ein knallroter Bildschirm mit Maus-Zeiger -> Abbruch. Mein System ist ein Dell Inspiron 8000 mit einem NVidia GForce2 Go Grafikchip der mit 32 MB bestückt ist. Es ist Suse 7.3 mit den passenden NVidia RPM´s (2313) installiert. Die NVidia-Treiber sollen zum arbeiten gebracht werden und nicht das Framebufferdevice !!! NVidia-Kernel-Kompilierungen schließe ich aus da passende RPM-Packete von NVidia zur Verfuegung stehen. sax2 war von Anfang an nicht in der Lage die Sache zu backen. Die "XF86Config" habe ich angepaßt damit sich das System weningstens nicht aufhaengt, was nach, oder mit, sax2 immer der Fall ist. Die zugehoerigen Dateien >> XF86Config << und
