Wie funktioniert "suspend to disk"?
Hallo, Vor zwei Tagen habe ich auf meinem Thinkpad X31 SuSE 9.2 installiert. Vorher hatte ich eine Mepis, mit der dank APM mit Fn+F12 ein "Suspend to disk" vom BIOS auf eine speziele Partition möglich war. Mit SuSE 9.2 wird von Kicker aus "Suspend to disk" angeboten - klappt auch prima! Zu lesen ist aber "writing data to swap". Bin ich richtig, wenn ich annehme, dass Linux meine Swap Partition zum suspend benutzt (und die speuiele FAT Partition dann auch unnötig wird)? If I understand the question right, then yes: the suspend image is written to the swap partition and no other partitions are needed. -Teemu
