Here are the guide lines. 1) A video about 1 minute. Intro yourself, where you are from, and then says. I am Geeko -or- I am Lizard. Both in English and your native tounge. 2) Please use some type of marker to let me know where you begin and where you end. 3) Please check your audio before sending, we are going to add music so if you are soft or the audio is low, we won't be able to hear you. 4) If you don't have video, send me a picutre with audio. I will working it. 5) Please give give me your name and nick so that I can tag in the video. 6) Have fun. :-) I haven't turn on ftp site. Hello All , Please dont take me wrong nor I am pointing personal.I am just writing this , so that next time when making video - these things/mistakes are not repeated. This video does not look official at all. I mean as compared to the size of openSUSE community , this is not up to the mark. Specially in terms of the quality , the video did not look professional. Also IMO instead of speaking a lot on 'I am geeko , I use openSUSE and so on...' I think , just a line - "I am a geeko" or "I use openSUSE" and flashing it fast would have been good choice and after it is done , show the power of words and more videos on how ambassadors work. Hats off to the contribution of the ambassadors , but still somewhere I felt something is missing. Thanks for reading , Shayon (Sj) .

+1000. Saying "I'm <your name> and I'm a geeko" or "I'm <your name> and I use openSUSE" in 5-10 seconds should be enough. Noone is going to watch 30 minutes of video where everyone is speaking for 1-2 minutes. We need to make it short and interesting. (5 minutes ~= 50-100 people saying one short sentence). -- Best Regards / S pozdravom, Pavol RUSNAK SUSE LINUX, s.r.o openSUSE Boosters Team Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xA6917144 19000 Praha 9 prusnak[at]opensuse.org Czech Republic -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

I think you could add a handfull of such testimonies at the end of any openSUSE video :-) no more than 1mn, at the moment where most people simply wait for the video to finish Also the opening screen of the initial video is very smart, so having 2s of this screen copied between each testimony should be a good transition. jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://pizzanetti.fr -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Pavol +10000 But I wouldnt use the sentence "I use openSUSE since $year" or something like this. Just say "I am a part of openSUSE" or openSUSE Community or "I am an openSUSE Ambassador" on this way it would be clearer what openSUSE is - an community driven project. Second, as I said before, shorter is better and the shortest is only the native tongue. Add the name and country with fonts in the video (use the real names not the nicks ;) ) And the last thing, dont use wallpaper from SUSE Enterprise in it - its contra productive! I am not so happy with the graphics for the intro, u need help just ask! br gnokii -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Btw. we have a Blip.TV channel, and I can upload anything there if needed...
We want more.
Yes, sure!

Please make it shorter than a minute. Imagine 30 people with one minute - far too long for anybody to watch. thanks, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Awesome initiative - and I echo the comments on making it shorter. I think, like gnokii said, having everyone say their name and something funny in their own language is fine esp if we have their name (or maybe translation of what they say) as subtitle. And we can add a bit more here and there for sure, like a 'what do ambassadors do' :D
thanks, Andreas
