I needed to do some experimenting with CSS3 & HTML5 techniques, so I figured I might as well do something beneficial with my experiments. http://eleven-three.info or http://eleven-three.heroku.com hosts the site I'm working on, and the source is available on github at http://github.com/bear454/release-counter Let me know what you think, and what you'd like to see change. I'm planning next to * add some feed info from news.o.o and twitter * create a mobile version using jQtouch for iPhoneOS & Android * create an embeddable 'widget' Cheers! - James Mason 'bear454' -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Very smart, but a bit large to be included in most web pages (approx 500x500 pixels) like here: http://dodin.org/wiki/index.php?n=Main.HomePage thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-support-the-Linux-Documentation-Project/3720... http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-fan-page-of-Claire-Dodin/106485119372062?v... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

The main page is not designed to be embedded; what I wanted was something I could run full-screen to "grab eyeballs". As I said, I'll be adding an embeddable component shortly ;-) - James Mason, 'bear454'

Very swish. One concern I have is that it isn't displaying properly on my netbook. Looks like you need at least 1024x768 to view it all, the top section is cut off and the bottom section is overlapping on each other. Having it auto scale would be great, otherwise switch to 800x600 to ensure you catch everyone. Would it be worth adding a button for the planet called blogs? Also have the features button link to a list of features in 11.3 rather than openFate (Having an openFate link with a list of features would work). What browser & version?

I'm good at 800x600 on firefox 3.6, so I assume this is a browser support issue. Operative word here is "experiment".
Would it be worth adding a button for the planet called blogs?
Good call - I'll add that
Also have the features button link to a list of features in 11.3 rather than openFate (Having an openFate link with a list of features would work).
I'll see if the openFATE search will comply.
Regards,
Andy

I'm using FireFox 3.5.9 on openSUSE 11.2

Yup which is why I'm not too snooty ;-)

the bottom links should open in a new window, specially for embedded that limit the size :-) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-support-the-Linux-Documentation-Project/3720... http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-fan-page-of-Claire-Dodin/106485119372062?v... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
