[opensuse-marketing] repository for the video team
Hello. I need some kind of repository (ies) for the openSUSE multimedia/video team. * one, private, to store the working parts (sound tracks in any langage, original mpg file for videos, photos/screen shots), all the parts that we need to make our final work. * one, public, to store medias in versions ok to the public at large. Could be (not immediately) video dvd isos, or clips for Youtube/Daylymotion and the like. That said, I don't understand well how blip works. What can we upload there, where will this be spread and how... if usefull, how can I have an account (personal or openSUSE official?). May be we need some sort of release shedule? Or do we thing than ASAP is the better? thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
If I may suggest, use the new artwork repo, create folders in it that should be enough at gitorious. That can help you for the pvt type For the pubic part, we have a youtube channel too Regards Manu On Mon, 2011-02-21 at 15:54 +0100, jdd wrote:

I don't think a git repository is a good place to share large binary video data, as you always have to download the complete repository when cloning.

Gitorious has it's own login and can use openid. When you have a gitorious username just ping the owner of your desired repo to add you to the committers list.

The opeSUSE youtube account is: http://www.youtube.com/user/opensusetv You could just upload your video to your account and ping me to add it to the opensusetv channel. You should also tag it with 'opensuse'. When we have new video highlights or series of recordings, we can also add them to http://tube.opensuse.org as we did last week with the FOSDEM talks.
