[opensuse-marketing] What to do for a Launch Party
I like to organise a Launch Party for the 11.3 release in the Netherlands. But I am completely new to this. So tips and pointers would be very welcome. -- Cecil Westerhof Senior Software Engineer LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/cecilwesterhof -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Hi Cecil, sorry for my late answer I was out of office in Vienna and they had not a strong connection to the internet there. So I had no much time for mails. Am Donnerstag, den 06.05.2010, 13:00 +0200 schrieb Cecil Westerhof:

First you should decide what kind of party u think is the best solution in ur case. a "get together" party in a restaurant or such place. Only meet some other openSUSE users to speak with the others. or a party with talks and workshops and such stuff. So for this u need first a room and then u can plan what u can make in there as a party. Then u should organize the talks, its better that not u do all talks allone as a one man show. When u be allone make only one and make a bigger Q-A round after it. When u have that both u can begin to make marketing for the party there are some ideas written in the Launch Party Howto at the wiki. But as first step I think u schould add ur party http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_11.3_Launch_Party_Locations here maybe on this way u find people to help u organize it. When u need mor help feel free to ask me in the IRC I am mostly logged in, but give me some time to answer or just write me a mail. br gnokii
