[opensuse-marketing] [OWN] RFC: New announcement mode of available translations
Hi @all Newsletter Team members ! Today we plan another way to announce the available languages: We'll link in the announcement mail / news.o.o post to this page: http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/68/Translations ( its http://<ISSUEURL>/<ISSUENR>/Translations ) Pro's (imho) : * no (delay) anymore in the announcement mails * can be changed if language is done (announcements not) * more flexible Con's: * No direct linking in the announcements anymore . For Sascha and me this is much easier to handle. What do you think ? Comments ? I agree with this new announcement. Still, I have a question and a
proposal.
Question:
Who is responsible for updating the 'Translations' page ?
[1] Before anouncement -> Jan-Simon or Sashca
After anouncement -> each coordinator/translator (if delayed)
[2] Each coordinator/translator should update the page concurrently
with reporting to ready-page, when their translation is done ?
Proposal for coordinators/translators:
It's recommended that each coordinator/translator post the announcement
in their own languages to their opensuse-$LANG list, if the list exists.
And the announcement would be as follows:
=======================================================================
We are pleased to announce:
Issue XX of openSUSE Weekly News is out! [0]
